Multi-Dose Use
Sterile Filtered
0.9% benzyl alcohol maintains sterility for multi-dose use
Studies confirm that the 0.9% benzyl alcohol concentration effectively inhibits microbial growth while remaining well below toxicity thresholds, enabling safe multi-dose vial usage.
Compatible with the vast majority of lyophilized peptides
Bacteriostatic water has been validated as a safe reconstitution vehicle for peptides, maintaining structural integrity and biological activity of reconstituted compounds.
Reconstituted peptide solutions show extended stability vs. sterile water
Comparative studies show that peptides reconstituted in bacteriostatic water maintain purity and potency significantly longer than those reconstituted in sterile water for injection.
Compliance
Sterile Filtered
Post-Puncture Life
Contains 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a bacteriostatic preservative. Concentration is well within established safety limits for research use.
Manufactured in accordance with British Pharmacopoeia (BP) standards for Water for Injection with antimicrobial preservative.
Sterile filtered (0.22μm) and aseptically filled. Each batch undergoes sterility testing per USP <71>.
Designed for multi-dose use. The benzyl alcohol preservative inhibits microbial growth after initial puncture of the vial septum.
Store at controlled room temperature (20-25°C). Protect from light. Do not freeze. Discard 28 days after first puncture.

Bacteriostatic Water for Injection (USP) is sterile water containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a bacteriostatic preservative. It is used as a diluent for reconstituting lyophilized peptides and other compounds.
Unlike sterile water (single-use), bacteriostatic water contains benzyl alcohol which prevents microbial growth after opening, allowing multi-dose use from a single vial for up to 28 days.
Reconstitution volume depends on the peptide and desired concentration. Common volumes range from 1-2mL per vial. Consult your specific research protocol for exact volumes.
At 0.9% concentration, benzyl alcohol has been shown to be compatible with the vast majority of peptides without affecting their stability or biological activity.
Store reconstituted peptide solutions at 2-8°C (refrigerated). Use within the timeframe specified by the peptide manufacturer, typically 14-30 days.
